Rev. Dr. Samuel Nicolas, Senior Pastor

Rev. Samuel Nicolas is a charismatic leader and a public servant who seeks to make a spiritual impact on people’s lives. He was born in Port au Prince, Haiti from Rev. Philius and his wife Helen, he emigrated to the United States at the very tender age of 9 years. In addition to his long membership to the Evangelical Crusade of Fishers of Men, he played a role in various areas of the church leadership.

The ministry and the leadership of Pastor Samuel include 28 years working in many civic roles such as government operations in the city of New York, serving the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development and as Director of community relations and constituent services of the New York State Comptroller’s Office.

Pastor Sam was credited with being the innovative spirit in the implementation of the current cult of 8:00 experiments that started with 12 participants and now more than 1,200 participants. His strong skills in the area of solving problems, organizational development and proven management experience, have earned him the respect of his peers and community leaders.

Pastor Sam holds a BA in Sociology from the Hunter University, a Master of Divinity with a concentration in pastoral counseling and family from the Evangelical Seminary in New York, an honorary doctorate in theology and various certifications. He is also an accomplished musician (saxophone) and like music and sports.

He is married to Faride, his wife of 31 years, and together they are the proud parents of Jonathan ( married to Tonya) Mark and Gloria and Grandson Jacob and Granddaughter Charlotte.
